Workin For The Music Man is the first solo album from Daniel Romano, following the break up of his much loved band Attack in Black and the exploration of folk music conducted with the Daniel, Fred, and Julie collaboration.

Here he draws on the music hed heard and loved since childhood, the country music of Hank Williams and George Jones and the folk ballads that his parents had played around the kitchen table, to create a warm, big-hearted, and personal sound. Matching method to content, Daniel recorded himself in his own 2 16 track studio using only his own instrumentation and select contributions from family and friends. Workin For The Music Man is that nearly perfect, rare document: an artist discovering the full scope of his abilities as a songwriter, performer, and producer, and in the process discovering his true voice.
