For many fans Geordie is merely an insignificant footnote in the story of AC/DC, being singer Brian Johnsons first band. But without Geordie there would have been no Back In Black or For Those About To Rockbecause it was with Geordie that Bon Scott first heard Johnsons singing. AC/DC aside, Geordies 1976 Save The World was a hard rocking album in its own right, and songs like Mamas Gonna Take You Home and Shes A Teaser, held their own in territory occupied at the time by bands like Zeppelin and Slade.
