Description

Hailing from across Canada and the UK, Montreals Pottery consists of core writers Austin Boylan and Jacob Shepansky, along with Peter Baylis, Paul Jacobs and Tom Gould.

Initially bonding over artists such as Orange Juice, Josef K and Devo, the band create a sound that combines eclectic traces of post-punk, pop and dance music, forming an unusual atmosphere that envelopes audiences.

While often shrill and jarring, Potterys songs simultaneously engage listeners into a hypnotic state. Its this dualism that binds them together, uncovering harmony within discord. Hailed as one of the hottest acts at 2019s SXSW and The Great Escape Festival, Potterys debut mini album, titled No. 1, is available for the first time on vinyl, via Partisan Records. Contains digital download card.

Headline UK run to happen later in 2019.

For fans of Preoccupations, Jacuzzi Boys, Oh Sees, Parquet Courts, Shame, IDLES, Gang of Four, The Fall, Ron Gallo, The Nude Party, Orange Juice, Devo.

Remarkable The 405

Irresistible Consequence of Sound

Its a druggy stimulant, moving with a lo-fi mania, wired, jangly guitars, and yelping vocals. Stereogum

Another great new tune love it Marc Riley, 6 Music

Possibly the highlight of the whole weekend DIY (SXSW)
