Description
The Spirit of Apollo is the debut album by indie hip hop duo N.A.S.A.. Showcasing styles including Brazilian funk, hip hop, new waver electronica and rock, the 18-track album was released February 17, 2009 after five years in the making. Released on Anti-Records, the list of collaborations includes David Byrne and Chuck D (“Money”); M.I.A. with Santigold and Nick Zinner of the Yeah Yeah Yeahs (“Whachadoin?”); and Kanye West and Lykke Li (“Gifted”). Ol’ Dirty Bastard makes a posthumous appearance along with other Wu-Tang Clan members RZA, Method Man and Ghostface Killah. John Frusciante (former guitarist of the Red Hot Chili Peppers) and Tom Waits also appear.
