Description
Imbodogom is the duo of Alexander Tucker (Grumbling Fur) and Daniel Beban (Orchestra Of Spheres, Slakes)
Metafather is the final instalment of their BBC Bush House trilogy.
On Metafather the duo create phantom-like transmissions and sound pieces out of tape machine loops, Foley sound effects and vintage mixing desks, invoking the spirit of Radiophonic and library music from the past.
Metafather is released on LP only, pressed on virgin vinyl and packaged with a fully artworked inner sleeve and free download coupon.
The album was recorded at the BBCs historic Bush House (previous home of the BBC World Service) during the final days before it was decommissioned.
Alexander Tucker is also a member of Grumbling Fur with Daniel OSullivan (Ulver, Guapo). The duo have just released their Thrill Jockey debut Glynnaestra.
The kind of creaky spookhouse disquiet that whistles and thumps like a dark cabin on a stormy night; bilgey, sylvan drones overlaid with the occasional maniac-behind-the-door moan. Pitchfork
The duo edit tape loops, fragmented songcraft, sci-fi tones and eldritch atmosphere into a collage fit to soundtrack Doctor Whos nightmares Mojo
Definitively unusual and disorientingsubtly disturbing. Pop Matters
