Description
Igorrr is the band project of the French musician and composer Gautier Serre – with the release of ‘Savage Sinusoid’ via Metal Blade Records, the band made an album that has no equal. The sound develops experimentally with unpredictable pieces baroque music, classical music, black and death metal, Balkan music with plenty of electro sounds, retaining an insanely brutal style changes within most of the songs.
This epic work Serre recorded completely without samples, using instead the gifted vocal talents Laurent Lunoir and Laure Le Prunenec, and drummer Sylvain Bouvier in addition to many other musicians, including, for example, Cattle Decapitation’s Travis Ryan, who sings in “Cheval”, “Apopathodiaphulatophobie” and “Robert”.
“Savage Sinusoid” draws from many genres, using musical sophistication and gigantic sound effects, which makes listening to these dramatic pieces, which periodically erupt into fits of musical frenzy, a whimsical and amazing experience unlike anything else.
