Headless Heroes Of The Apocalypse is an epic album by American soul artist Eugene McDaniels. Its a vinyl classic with an eclectic mix of funk, soul and folk. The jazz band which is backing McDaniel adds the swing to all the incredible arrangements. Supermarket Blues is a song in which he focuses on the racial acts, while The Parasite (for Buffy) is a ten-minute tribute to the Native Americans. The album has been prized and sampled by the hip-hop community dozens of times. Its dark and political psychedelic soul album with excellent grooves, a masterpiece which is now available again on vinyl. The album is dedicated to Roberta Flack who is credited: Special thanks to Miss Roberta Flack for not being afraid to help a brother. She, in my opinion, is a lady of quality, grace, humanity and talent of the highest order. I love you, Bert-G.
