Description
Whereas Pontiaks 2014 album Innocence tore through rowdy riffs and melancholic balladry in a neat half hour, its immediately clear from the reverb-heavy trip of opener Easy Does It that new album Dialectic Of Ignorance is altogether a different beast. Euphorically defying spatial constraint, brothers Jennings, Van and Lain Carney instead opt to guide each song along its own cosmic trajectory: confident in the outcome but even more excited to enjoy the ride.
LP pressed on virgin vinyl and packaged in an old-style tip-on jacket with free download coupon.
Pontiak will be embarking on a full European tour to coincide with the release, playing at both Roadburn and Desertfest.
Their spare southern rock has a Gothic stoner mystery all of its own Classic Rock
Gnarly. Loud. Sludgy. Uncut
Pontiak are a rare breed of band who have given the scene some kind of revival by creating riffs that matter. Terrorizer
