Description
By the late 80s John Mayall found himself back on a major label, Island no less, and having been enthused by a 1998 release with his long term band of brothers the Bluesbreakers titled Chicago Line John was soon back in the studio. A Sense Of Place is a for all intents and purposes a covers record, featuring songs written by his peers and influences, with just one original composition, Send Me Down To Vicksburg. The Bluesbreakers are in a relaxed mood on this recording, which saw them back in the charts for the first time in 15 years!
