Richard Anthony Monsour, born May 4, 1937 better known to the world as The King Of The Surf Guitar, Dick Dale released this, his debut album, in 1962. Featuring his backing group, The Del-Tones, Surfers Choice, is an absolute, stone cold, classic and the first ever LP document of the brand new phenomenon of surf rock, a genre that Dale, an avid surfer himself, singlehandedly created. An essential piece of surf rock history, reissued on LP by the fine folks at Rumble.
