Description
‘The Rack’ is the debut studio album by Dutch death-doom band Asphyx, originally released on 13th April 1991 by Century Media Records.
The venerated debut album by Asphyx, ‘The Rack’, was released in 1991 to widespread acclaim. Following a slew of demos, this was bassist/vocalist Martin van Drunen’s first recorded project since quitting Pestilence after the ‘Consuming Impulse’ record. This record wears all their influences proudly on their sleeves and remains a cult favourite to this day.
Now remixed and remastered, this special edition 2CD hardback digibook features extensive liner notes by the band, previously unfinished original artwork and 3 stickers. It also includes the bonus CD ‘The Rack’ Cover Compilation’, 9 covers of the legendary album by various bands.
