Description
After more than two decades under Atlantic Records, Paramore announced in late 2023 that they had finally gained their independence. Now, frontwoman Hayley Williams unveils her first project on her own label, Post Atlantic. This surprise release marks her third body of solo work, following 2020s Petals For Armor and 2021s Flowers for Vases. Those earlier records, written during the COVID years, offered a stark and intimate counterpoint to the high-energy dynamism of Paramore. Petals For Armor was praised by Pitchfork as epitomizing vulnerability and transformative growth, while Flowers for Vases highlighted her striking vocal presence – husky and gentle, dangerous yet warm – set against restrained, minimal production. Together, they revealed Williams as a songwriter unafraid of resetting, rethinking, and presenting a more introspective side of her artistry.
