Ricky Warwick is one of rock’n’roll’s last true rebels. Having just been awarded the Ards International Guitar Festival Lifetime Achievement Award in his homeland of Belfast, Warwick continues building his legacy this year with his electrifying ninth solo album, Fire And Vengeance. It’s a record that showcases a musician at the very peak of his powers and, lyrically, he’s up there with the very best – a working class poet whose songs combine the autobiographical, the observational, the political, the cynical and the heartfelt.

The new album sees him reunite once more with musical partner-in-crime Keith Nelson, the former guitarist with Buckcherry who co-produced, co-wrote and played on 2025’s Blood Ties. The album also features guest appearances from alumni of Def Leppard, Blackberry Smoke, Whitesnake and The High Kings.

Fire And Vengeance finds subtle new musical avenues to explore while never drifting away from the full-throated sound with which Warwick has made his name.
