Formed by The Verves Simon Tong, Erland & The Carnival are a London based folk rock band, whose debut album was recorded in Damon Albarns studio, Studio 13. The band is best known for their contemporary take on traditional British folk songs, but their original material has a sixties garage rock influence that creates a unique sound. The name Erland & The Carnival comes from a Jackson C. Frank song, My Name is Carnival.
