Sligo-born singer songwriter Perry Blake is one of musics great untapped resources. After his debut album, Blake moved to France, where he was met with critical acclaim for his next four albums, touring Europe with Carla Bruni and writing two songs for Francoise Hardys Platinum selling album, Tant de belles choses, appearing on various TV shows in France as her special guest.
Blakes glimpses of people living a state of mind is one of those great escapes its very hard to get away from. His gift here is to take a subdued, grown-up collection of songs but make them sound like they deserve daytime radio. MOJO (*****)

The Last of The Great Songwriters [] One of musics great untapped resources and still on top of his game Guy Garvey, BBC6 Music
An unsettling, almost Orwellian feel and along the way we can luxuriate in Perry Blakes generous, comforting voice spotting traces of Nick Drake, trip-hop and Gary Numan Hot Press
Blake sounds like a cross between Bowie and Michael Nyman only better Uncut
Further solidifying his signature downtempo and melancholy brand of ambient and cinematic pop Radio Nova
