The story of Kneecap began in 2017 with the release of their first single – ‘C.E.A.R.T.A.’ (Irish for ‘rights’). With ‘C.E.A.R.T.A.’, the band brought the Irish language into the modern era, which also plays a big part on their debut album. The songs seamlessly combine satire with socially critical lyrics and are consistently funny, but also thought-provoking.

Feature performances come from Grian Chatten from Fontaines D.C., Radie Peat from Lankum and Jelani Blackman. The album was produced by Toddla T (AJ Tracey, Stormzy, Headie One, among others).
