Overkill is an American thrash metal band from the New York metropolitan area, founded by bassist D. D. Verni, drummer “Rat” Skates and singer Bobby “Blitz” Ellsworth in 1980.
‘RELIXIV’ was Overkill’s fourteenth studio album and is one of the best that thrash metal has to offer. After the recordings, Tim Mallare announced his departure and was replaced by Ron Lipnicki. On the album, which was first released in March 2005, Overkill remained true to their style. ‘RELIXIV’ is a worthy successor to ‘Killbox 13’ from 2003.
