Akiko is the drummer for The Big Pink and singer with underground favourites PRE, who earlier this year released their Steve Albini-produced album.
Comanechi have recently played with the Yeah Yeah Yeahs, Klaxons, Gossip and Siouxie Sioux, who are all also strong supporters and fans of the
band (Hanna from Gossip features on the album).
The band stand out in their uninhibited levels of energy and highly developed image and artistic sensibilities.
