Originally released in 1963, Blood, Sweat and Tears is the ?fteenth studio album by American icon Johnny Cash.
Essentially the album is a collection of songs about the American working man. It includes the classic ballad The Legend of John Henrys Hammer and the single Busted. Five years after the release of Blood, Sweat and Tears, both songs appeared on one of Cashs most famous records, At Folsom Prison [MOVLP274].
The albums title is inspired by a quote from Winston Churchill, saying he can offer nothing but blood, toil, tears, and sweat. According to critics the album consists almost entirely of ?rst-rate material and is an essential album in the Johnny Cash catalogue.
