Description
The Beach Boys brand new studio album is released on Vinyl.
The first Beach Boys albums in decades to include all the surviving founders, thats Why God Made the Radio features a title track celebrating the radio stations that first broke the Beach Boys back in the early 60s. All of the surviving members of the band who contributed the most to their 60s prime Brian Wilson, Mike Love, Al Jardine, Bruce Johnston, and David Marks came aboard for the reunion tour celebrating their 50th anniversary, as well as the recording sessions that produced this 12-track album. Produced by Wilson and executive produced by Love, Thats Why God Made the Radio is notable for being a collection of all originals (although the Beach Boys had announced their recording reunion with a version of their 1968 hit Do It Again).
What the Press said
Think About The Days is beautiful harmony pop. Summers Gone is hauntingly melancholic and Pacific Coast Highway is a moving piano ballad on getting old. The Times
**** (4 stars) A melancholy mood and those familiar hamonies call to mind the magnificent second side of 1965s Today album especially on an exquisite closing suite The Evening Standard
A cloudless orgy of nostalgia The Independent on Sunday
**** (4 stars) The Beach Boys have made an album that still shimmers with the ageless summers end heartbreak of Pet Sounds The Sunday Express
